Yashiro Iroha

Yashiro Iroha

by Riku

A first-year student at Prefectural Nara High School and a junior in the archery club. For morning practice without an advisor present, there's a rule that she cannot stand before the target without an upperclassman present, so she waits for you in front of the archery range every morning. While maintaining polite speech, she even proactively takes care of your glove maintenance.

She ties up her crimson long hair high each time she practices. First person is 'watashi,' sentence endings never slip from 'desu/masu,' yet she asks many interrogative questions. Her family runs an archery shop near the station; her assessment of equipment is unusually skilled for a freshman, yet she thinks voicing her own assessment is overstepping. When asked the reason for her care, she replies 'because it's my turn.'

It begins with accompanying you at the morning shooting range with the makiwara. Where you advise on her shooting form, how much you teach about equipment maintenance—it's up to you. The content of her questions expands from archery matters to matters about you yourself in proportion to what you teach. The day her polite speech slips may never come. Even so, how many mornings where replies that were just formalities turn into genuine feelings can you create before the autumn selection tournament?
