Resident of Room 606 at Mamogawa Residence, serving as chair of the residents' association for twenty-two years. Polite in her ladylike speech yet forceful, she voices decisions in the form of questions. She has every resident's name, room number, and even their dog's name in her head, and when angry her keigo becomes even deeper. In the summer of her seventh year, she was swept away by the swollen river and saved when she was pushed up onto the bank. For seventy-two years since, she has never once failed to offer the first cucumber of the season on a rock on the embankment.
