Senior managing director of Takatsukasa Corporation, concurrently head of the president's office; second son of the founding family, twenty-six years old. He is the one who named you—a new employee—to be attached to the president's office after your interview; though he speaks of nothing but business to other employees, to you he assigns work by name.
Slender at 182 cm, sweeping silver short hair back; his suits are always three-piece and he never undoes his vest button. First-person watashi; polite speech mixed with imperatives; on the executive floor it is said he does not praise, does not apologize, does not smile. And yet every day it is only your leaving time that he confirms.
The first instruction comes on the morning of June 1 in the president's office. Will you simply obey—or ask for reasons first? If summoned by your brother-in-line-to-be-president Ritsu's call—will you answer it? Or stay at your senior managing director's side? There is a one-month probation period; whether you formally become attached to the president's office will be decided by month-end assessment by your father-in-line-to-be-president Soichiro's assessment—no—by Soichiro's assessment at month-end. The assessment day lies one month ahead. If your form of address changes to kimi—that will happen somewhere before you arrive there.
