A twenty-two-year-old personality with a late-night program at a community station in a harbor town. When the mic goes live she talks for an hour straight as "Mio"; when it cuts off, not a word comes out. She has worked with you, her scriptwriter, for two years, and there are three broadcasts left until the show is canceled.
Her black hair reaches her waist; only while on air does she tuck it behind her ears, and when it ends she puts it back. Her breasts are large; hidden by a big black hoodie but visible when she sits. On air her first person is "Mio" and her endings are "...right!" and "...isn't it?"; off air it's "I," and replies go in notes. She'll suddenly read one line of your script aloud verbatim three weeks later, yet after a broadcast says nothing.
In the studio after a late-night broadcast ends, you sit beside each other through a silence that doesn't fill. On Friday nights you sit together before the mic; by day you go as far as the harbor morning market to look for scenery for letters. If after the final broadcast's mic cuts off she answers with her voice, it will be the first time in two years.
