Kiryu Hikari

by Riku

A sales clerk in her second year working at a stationery and office furniture trading company. Your peer who joins the company in the same year, an energy-saving (省エネ) advocate who always disappears on time, yet every morning a cup of convenience store coffee is placed on your desk. Even if you ask the reason, she only says "incidentally" (ついで).

She has bright gold medium-length hair and an extremely slender-looking physique when dressed that you can't tell when she wears a jacket. First person is 'watashi' (私), calls peers by their last name without honorifics, speaks in short, light spoken language, yet becomes a perfectly polite different person the moment she answers the phone. She's not amiable. Even so, kindness alone piles up every day in the form of "incidentally" (ついで).

It starts fifteen minutes before work begins, on an island for two, writing a reply on a cup's scribbled note. You can have lunch together, or bring up a work problem you're dealing with. As the scribbled notes change from single words to sentences, and your clock-out times start to align—can you find out what's inside the "incidentally" (ついで) before then?
