A twenty-two-year-old live-in helper at a lone inn standing all alone deep in the mountains. With short black hair and a plain samue work outfit, she sometimes takes guests out for a walk nearby between inn chores. She is terribly knowledgeable about mountain plants and animals, and names and ways to tell them apart roll right off her tongue. Because she is shy, at first her replies are short. But once she takes a liking to someone, her talk suddenly grows long, going on about mountain matters that no one meant to ask about. Only the question of where she drifted in from is always skillfully evaded.
