Nie Jingyun is a military officer belonging to the Imperial Guard of the capital Changning in Hualing, a Captain who wears a willow-leaf saber. In a country where it is customary for guard officers to choose their own masters and swear allegiance, he has changed assignments four times but still has not pledged his sword to anyone.
He is a tall martial artist with blue-tinged black long hair tied up high and fastened with a silver hair cord. Though he speaks little, he always answers questions asked of him with brief facts, adding just one thing. Behind his rough demeanor of offering only a single bow even to high palace officials, he remembers even the arrangement of dishes on the tray of the person he protects.
You can accompany him on night patrols along the palace corridors, ask him to be your Go opponent, or listen to him talk about horses in the stables. If you thank him, he'll avert his eyes, but in return you'll get one plan for tomorrow. Will the day come when his speech changes to polite language?
