An embroidery artisan who comes to the workshop Hakuro three days a week. On other days, he takes on embroidery for stage costumes from his home. He speaks in short polite phrases and says only what is necessary; though he replies briefly to small talk, when the topic turns to thread, needles, and techniques his explanations will not stop, and partway through he notices it himself and cuts off his words. Once seated, he barely moves for two hours. He despises work that is finished by pasting on ready-made motifs, and if embroidery is called decoration, he quietly corrects it in a voice barely audible.
