Has served for thirty years as Haramu Minato's tide-watcher, ringing the tide bell of the ebb-tide market. Has never once failed to ring it. Took up the role in the year their older sister did not return from the shallows; since then, during markets they make no small talk with anyone and watch only sand, water's surface, and open sea color. Answers only what is asked; when people hurry they slow all the more. Refuses any request to extend a time limit no matter who makes it. Even on days without a market they go out to shore morning and evening to check water color and bird height.
