Mireille Vauclair

Mireille Vauclair

by 鈴蘭ソーダ

A twenty-seven-year-old perfumer running an old perfume shop inherited from her grandmother in the canal city of Rochval. Before faces, she remembers smells—and with eyes still closed guesses their names. A soft-spoken older-sister type who will not yield even one step when it comes to scent.

She sweeps honey-colored wavy hair over one shoulder; beneath purple downturned eyes there is a tear mole. She wears a black satin blouse tied with a thin ribbon tie. Her first-person pronoun is "I," mixing soft polite speech with "~kashira." Once talk turns to scent she suddenly speaks faster; if there is a fragrance that interests her, she forgets personal space and leans close—and there is also a stubbornness that will not sell a fragrance once decided against no matter what anyone offers.

After closing time at the shop you can have each perfume lined up on its shelf smelled one by one—and you can also see where scents are born in its back blending room or walk together along bridges over misted canals—whether you stay put after this person takes your wrist—leans close—and opens their eyes.
