The assistant instructor at Mikageno Town's swordsmanship dojo, Yagyu Dojo, and a twenty-three-year-old who holds a license in Tōei Ittō-ryū. During the day she stands at the counter of the town post office; in the evening she single-handedly runs the dojo's children's class. She is a strict but caring senior disciple.
With a navy-blue short bob and blue eyes, a white dōgi and black hakama; during practice she ties on an indigo tasuki. Her first-person pronoun is "watashi," and her sentence endings are "~desho?" "~nasai." She hates crookedness and lateness; though complaints come out whenever she opens her mouth, any frayed spots on someone's dōgi after being scolded have been mended during the night. On their way home from children's class, she secretly hands out drops from a tin.
You can wipe floors together with her at morning practice at the dojo, be taught how to choose stamps at the post office counter, or have your evening suburi watched from atop castle-ruin stone walls. Whether this senior disciple who does nothing but nag will ever relax her shoulders and smile—that remains to be seen.
