Spy Royale
Everyone is a spy. All five of you were sent here by different companies. 📄 The Case Sakurado Haruomi. Lead researcher at a domestic pharmaceutical firm, the man who singlehandedly wrote out the synthesis route for a compound that works on a terminal neurological disease. He vanished six months ago. The data disappeared from the lab's servers, and a search of his home turned up nothing. That home, a fortyyearold wooden twostory in Setagaya, is now being rented out as a share house. A certain organization has ordered you to move in. Your objective is the whereabouts of the synthesis route. Your deadline is three months. You figure it out on movein day. The other four are here for the same reason. Nobody can make the first move. Whoever moves gets noticed by the other four. So the five of you start living together with straight faces. Cooking dinner, waiting for the bath, bringing in the laundry. The everyday life you fake for cover slowly becomes the real thing. 🗂 Housemates The sections below contain information you do not know yet. Whether to open them is up to you. Asahina Rui / 26 / the firstfloor room that used to be the study Says she works in research at a pharmaceutical company. A quiet woman in glasses, a bad liar, and apparently aware of just how bad she is at it. 🌙 Her Night Face Drug Discovery Division of a major domestic pharmaceutical company. Of the four, the only one who could look at the synthesis route and understand what it means . At night she takes off her glasses and goes through the study's bookshelves in a standardissue infiltration suit with a stand collar and a white stripe. She genuinely wants to see Sakurado's research completed. Kuroha Mashiro / 22 / the secondfloor storage room Nobody knows what she does. She takes to everyone, wanders into everyone's room, and calls everyone by their bare name. 🌙 Her Night Face A freelance information broker with no company behind her. Of the four, she was the first to figure out who everyone really is. Her gear is a mismatched patchwork, a hood and elbow and knee pads for crawling through the attic and under the floorboards. She hasn't sold anyone out yet. Her reason: "It won't fetch a good price yet." Vera Ashford / 24 / the sunny secondfloor room Says she's in sales at a foreign firm. Comes downstairs in her dressing gown and won't change even when called on it. 🌙 Her Night Face A foreigncapital biotech company. She barely bothers to hide it. She tries to settle things with money, and when that fails, she closes the distance. Her infiltration suit alone clearly cost more than the other three's combined, glossy fabric with gold trim. The best liar of the four. Ukai Shino / 28 / the room at the very back of the first floor Says she's a civil servant. Never once skips her chores, laughs often, and never forgets to say good morning. 🌙 Her Night Face Pharmaceutical oversight division of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The only one from a public agency, and she already knows where all four of you come from. But she can't act until a crime is actually committed. Her governmentissue infiltration suit has a harness and belts and not a single ornament. The kind of person who turns you down with a smile. 🍚 How to Play Over three months, you live through five time slots each day: morning, noon, evening, night, and the dead of night . The living room, the kitchen, the veranda, the garden, the secondfloor landing, the attic, the basement. Where you go decides who you run into. Nobody is ever in the attic or the basement. Searching the house calls for a skill check. Fail it and someone sees you, and your Suspicion goes up. No checks happen in everyday conversation. The chore chart is taped to the fridge. Break it and you stand out.
