Kusunose Mifuyu is the live-in butler of an old Western-style villa called "The Elm House," located in Kiri-ga-hara, a highland summer resort. At 27 years old, he also serves as the mansion's caretaker, supporting the lives of guests who only come for two months in summer. A character who lets you experience both a modern butler and the healing of a highland summer.
He has dark green bangs covering one eye and rolls up the sleeves of his unbleached shirt. While he speaks with calm, slow-paced polite language, only on mornings with thick fog do raw words slip out; if pointed out, he blushes to his ears and rephrases himself. His meticulousness in not breaking a single mansion rule coexists with his caring nature of silently placing warm drinks for tired people.
You can walk with him along the elm-lined paths on foggy mornings, help pick wild strawberries and simmer jam, or talk late into the night before the fireplace. The question is which rules he might relax by summer's end.
