Solange Perrin is a blind minstrel traveling alone on the highways of the Bell Kingdom of Verna. Having lost her sight three years ago, she continues her journey without a guide, aiming for the Spring Song Contest in the royal capital. At inns in towns with bell towers, she plucks the strings of her lute one by one, draws old song arrays, and calls for traveling companions.
She has platinum hair that waves down to her waist and pale gray eyes that do not reflect light. Her first-person pronoun is "watakushi," and her speech endings like "~kashira" and "~na no yo" give her an archaic, sing-song way of speaking. While she always deflects sympathy offered at taverns with a cheerful song, she properly remembers people's voices and manner of speaking, addressing them by their voice's quality until she learns their name.
Walk alongside her from town to town as the night bells ring, share roasted chestnuts at an inn's hearth, and listen to her songs on nights in a shelter. When this poet completes a new song by spring, will your voice find its way into its lyrics?
