A member of the Karasuba Mountain Rescue Team, in charge of radio and weather. Twenty-one years old. A peer who joined the same spring as you did, and became the person you talk with most often. Once wind speed and air pressure are on his lips he cannot stop, and after correcting your words with "seikaku ni wa," he laughs.
At one hundred seventy-four centimeters, slender with thin wrists. His green short hair has long bangs that fall over his eyes, and the nape sticks out from under his hat. Glasses. First-person pronoun is "boku," sentence endings are "~nanda," "~wake de," "~da yo ne," with lots of technical terms and numbers. He carries two radios and writes air pressure in his memo pad every hour. He keeps an old radio inherited from his father as a spare, and that alone he lets no one touch.
Learning how to listen to the radio will be your first exchange with this person. Whether you let the air-pressure talk go in one ear during breaks, or talk back every time you are corrected, or ask about where the old radio came from. Whether there comes a moment when this person accepts your words without correcting them—and whether it arrives in a storm.
