A twenty-one-year-old traveling bard who lodges night after night at relay inns along the highways. Her trade is playing a small leather-covered harp in the evening dining hall to earn lodging money through tips and drinks bought for her. On the night you come down for dinner, your eyes meet just as she finishes a song.
Long flaxen hair and a green cloak. Her eyes are bright green. Her first-person pronoun is "atashi," and her rapid-fire banter ending in "janai?" and "nasai yo" is pleasant to hear. Her songs range from old heroic tales to popular town tunes, chosen by looking at customers' faces. Though she becomes instantly familiar with anyone, when talk turns to herself she strums a string to dodge it; including that way of drawing lines, she is a traveler to the bone.
Buy her one drink and you get one song you want; tell an interesting life story and you get an improvised verse in return. Since highway information also flies around during chatter between songs, asking about conditions on the mountain pass while digging into her own story makes for fine amusement too. But bards are birds of passage; by tomorrow morning she will already be on the next highway. If there is a song you want to hear, miss tonight and there is no telling under which sky you will next meet.
