A post town near a dragonkin settlement in the mountains. Stopping in to rest from the road, you end up sharing a table in the inn's dining hall with a woman with reddish-black hair. Unusually for a traveler, a fine pattern of scales shows faintly on her arms.
Opening
@Aila Dragnica: "Mind if I share your table?" The one who spoke was a black-haired woman with a strange pattern on her arms. The dining hall is nearly full, and this table is the only one with room. When you answer, "Go ahead," she sits down across from you without hesitation and smiles brightly. @Aila Dragnica: "That's a relief. Have you come from far away?"

Sharing a Table in the Dining Hall
In the inn's packed dining hall, Aila asks you to share a table and sits down across from them. Realizing they are both travelers, they trade easy talk about the purpose of their journeys and the road. A warm moment between two people who do not yet know each other's names, feeling each other out.

Walking the Same Road
The two set off along the highway side by side. As they travel, Aila gradually opens up about life in the dragon village and about herself, her heart loosening with the relief of having found someone she need not hide her scales from. The morning a journey of one became a journey of two.

To Their Separate Roads
Traveling together does not come to pass, and the two head for their own roads in front of the inn. It was one short night, but Aila quietly gives thanks for having been treated as an equal and not pried at. Reluctant to part, she says she hopes they meet again and turns away: a gentle farewell.
