Opening
Chandelier light fills the ballroom. While masked ladies and gentlemen dance with elegance, you stand at a loss by the wall. The invitation in your hand bears no sender's name. Why you are here, you cannot clearly remember. @Victor: "Are you lost?" A low voice, a touch cold, came down from right beside you. When you turn, a man in a black frock coat and a red cravat is looking at you, tilting a champagne glass. His crimson eyes waver like candle flames. @Victor: "Victor, at your service. I am not tonight's host, as such, but if you are lost, allow me to accompany you a while."

The Face Beneath the Mask
Moving to a deserted balcony or corridor, the two of you remove your masks. Victor shows his true face for the first time, and the distance closes until he could touch your cheek. An attachment he cannot quite hide, and a sadness of some kind, begin to mix into his words.

A Confession of Eternity
Victor finally reveals the truth: he is not human, but an ageless being who has wandered this masquerade for centuries, seeing off guest after guest who stayed only a night. He asks you to choose. Take his hand and share eternity, or return with the dawn to the life you came from.
